Get The Word Out!!

Webelos Woods 2015

June 6 - 7, 2015

Rum River Scout Camp

Webelos Woods is a great chance for Webelos to get a taste of Boy Scouting, while also having the opportunity to earn a variety of pins.  Events last year included: completion of naturalist, forester, geologist and readyman pins, as well as completion on the outdoorsman pin for some.  This year we plan on incorporating partial work on the Fitness and Sportsman pins as well!

Important Notes

Registration for this event will open in late March.  All forms should be turned into the Registration Director on or before the deadline of MAY ROUNDTABLE so that we have time to complete your Pack Registration.  All Dens must be registered in advance of the big event!

The fee schedule for this event is as follows: (fees cover all supplies, awards, cracker barrel, etc.)

Webelos Scouts attending Webelos Woods 2014                  $20.00 each

Adult Sponsor (for each Webelos Scout)                               $10.00 each

Den Chief                                                                                $10.00 each

Program Details

CHECK-IN

Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Weaver Lodge.

COOKING/FOOD

This year, each den will be responsible for preparing meals to give the Webelos a chance to prepare a variety of items, just like Boy Scouts.

MEAL SUGGESTIONS

Saturday lunch should be a light meal, with minimal preparation, as the lunch period is limited.  Saturday dinner meal will be a good opportunity for the Scouts to display their expertise with some type of Silver Turtle or other meal prepared as individuals.  Sunday breakfast should be an easy clean-up meal.

SKITS!

This year we’re including the opportunity for every den to perform a skit at the Saturday night campfire!

CHECKOUT

Final check-out will wrap up by 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
