Dan Patch Activities
Dan Patch District hosts a variety of events through out the year for all levels of Scouting. Click the event to view information on date, time, location, etc.
Cub Scout Growlll! - this event is for newly recruited lion/tiger scouts to have a fun day and learn what scouting is all about. Parents are required to attend with their scouts and will be asked to participate in some activities. The event is generally held the first Saturday in December.
Buck Hill Tubing Day - this event is open to all Dan Patch Scouts and is an evening of Tubing at Buck Hill. This is typically held from 7 to 9 PM on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Pine Wood Derby - this event is for all Cub Scout age youth who qualify out of their Pack's Pinewood Derby. If a scout finishes high enough in this event he will qualify for the Council Pinewood Derby which is held at the Mall of America. The event is generally held on a Saturday in mid-March.
Klondike Derby - this event is for Boy Scout Troops. This event is very unique in the fact that the event is mostly put on by Troop 374 out of Nativity of Mary in Bloominton. The event has generally been held in the beginning of March.
District Dinner - this event is for adult leaders of all units in the Dan Patch District. At this event awards are handed out for the year such as Jockey of the Year, District Award of Merit, Commissioner Awards, and many others. This event is held in March.
Spring Camporee - this is a Boy Scout weekend campout. The district hosts a day of activities and competitions at one of our Council Camps. The event is held in the spring time as the title implies.
Webelos Woods - this event is a way for new Webelos Scouts to get a jump start on activity badges just as they become Webelos Scouts. The event is held the first weekend in June and is at a local camp.
Fall Camporee - this is a Boy Scout weekend campout. The district hosts a day of activities and competitions at one of our Council Camps. The event is held in the fall time as the title implies.
